Solar storms have become a growing concern as the Earth experiences more frequent geomagnetic disturbances. Earlier this year, these storms dazzled people across the U.S., bringing auroras to places far south of their usual northern territories. With the Sun entering a new solar cycle, these awe-inspiring events are set to increase, but so do their potential risks to Earth's infrastructure.
